Heather Stewart

Heather Stewart (born 28 September 1976) is an English journalist and special correspondent for The Guardian. With a background in economics and politics, she has held various editorial positions throughout her career. After completing her studies in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Magdalen College, Oxford, she joined HM Treasury as a researcher. In 2001, Stewart began her journalism career at The Guardian as a junior reporter, eventually becoming the business editor of The Observer. She later served as the economics editor of The Observer before transitioning to the role of political editor at The Guardian in 2016. Stewart has also co-hosted the political podcast 'The Guardian UK: Politics Weekly' with Jessica Elgot.
