    Helen Carroll Biography
    Helen Carroll (May 23, 1914 – February 21, 2011) was an American singer and actress. Born as Helen Kress Fulk in Bloomington, Indiana, Carroll began her singing career as a teenager on radio in Memphis, Tennessee. She later moved to New York with aspirations of working on Broadway. Although her appearances on Broadway were sporadic, she performed in various roles such as Daphne in Arthur Schwartz's Virginia (1937), the Citizen of New Amsterdam in Knickerbocker Holiday (1938-1939), and a woman tourist in Key Largo (1939). Carroll also pursued a career in broadcasting and made a name for herself as part of the singing group Helen Carroll and the Satisfiers. She passed away in 2011 in Rye, New Hampshire.
