Helen Johns
Helen Johns (born April 24, 1953) is a former Canadian politician and actress. She served as a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1995 to 2003. Johns held various cabinet positions in the governments of Mike Harris and Ernie Eves. Born in Toronto, Ontario, she pursued her education at York University, the University of Windsor, and Simon Fraser University, where she studied business and commerce. Prior to entering politics, Johns worked as a controller for small and medium-sized businesses. She was elected to the Ontario legislature in 1995 and served as a backbench government member for four years. Johns has also pursued a career in acting, appearing in several movies and TV shows.
