Henderson Forsythe Biography
Henderson Forsythe (September 11, 1917 – April 17, 2006) was an American actor known for his role as Dr. David Stewart #2 on the soap opera As the World Turns. He played this role for 32 years and was a prominent figure on the New York stage. Forsythe was born in Macon, Missouri and grew up in Monroe City, Missouri. He studied theatre at Culver Stockton College and later transferred to The University of Iowa. In 1979, he won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor (Musical) for his work in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Forsythe also appeared in other stage productions and dramas, including Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Birthday Party.
