Howie Rose Biography
Howie Rose is an American sportscaster, born on February 13, 1954. He is currently a radio broadcaster for the New York Mets on WCBS, where he has been calling play-by-play since 1995. Before his work with the Mets, Rose also called play-by-play for the New York Rangers and New York Islanders. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Rose grew up as a fan of the New York Yankees, but became a regular attendee at Mets games when they moved to Shea Stadium in 1964. He attended Benjamin N. Cardozo High School in Queens and graduated from Queens College in 1977. Rose resides in Woodbury, Long Island with his wife and two daughters.
