Hugh O'Conor Biography
Hugh O'Conor (born 19 April 1975) is an Irish actor, writer, director, and photographer. He gained recognition for his role in the Oscar-winning film My Left Foot (1989), where he portrayed the childhood days of Christy Brown, a man born with cerebral palsy. O'Conor's performance earned him a Young Artist Award in 1990. Throughout his career, he has appeared in various films, including Lamb (1985) alongside Liam Neeson and The Young Poisoner's Handbook (1995), which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. In addition to acting, O'Conor has ventured into writing, directing, and photography. As of 2020, he was listed as number 49 on The Irish Times' list of Ireland's greatest film actors.
