Iain Johnstone

Iain Johnstone (8 April 1943 – 4 May 2023) was an English author, broadcaster, and television producer. He attended Crosfields School, Reading, Campbell College, Belfast, and Bristol University. Johnstone served as the film critic of The Sunday Times for twelve years and was the presenter and original producer of the BBC Two program Film 82. He also produced several other British TV programs, including Friday Night, Saturday Morning, The Frost Interview, and the BBC's Watergate coverage. Johnstone co-wrote the film Fierce Creatures (1997) with John Cleese and collaborated with Steven Spielberg on eight documentaries, such as The Jaws Report and Steven and Stanley. He also made various other film documentaries and TV profiles.
