    Ian Stanley Biography
    Ian Christopher Stanley (born 28 February 1957) is a British musician, songwriter, and record producer. He gained prominence as a member of the English band Tears for Fears during the 1980s. Stanley played a significant role in the creation of their highly successful second studio album, Songs from the Big Chair. In addition to playing synthesizers, drum machines, organ, pianos, and providing backing vocals, he co-wrote numerous songs with Roland Orzabal during the period of 1983-1985. Stanley was also part of the production team at the band's studio, The Wool Hall, in Bath. He has appeared in various Tears for Fears music videos and has performed with the band.
