Ida Nilsen

Ida Nilsen is a Canadian indie pop singer-songwriter and musician. Known for her versatile music career, she has been a member of various bands including Radiogram, The Violet Archers, The Beans, The Gay, The Buttless Chaps, and The Choir Practice. In addition, Nilsen has made guest appearances as a musician on albums by P:ano, Jerk With a Bomb, Montag, and Veda Hille. In 2003, she formed her own band, Great Aunt Ida, which released their debut album 'Our Fall' in 2005. With warm and spare arrangements, the band's second album 'How They Fly' received positive reviews for its understated power. Nilsen's songwriting skills shine through in her solo work as well, with her album 'Nuclearize Me' being described as intimate, honest, and smartly crafted.
