Idan Amedi (עידן עמדי), born February 19, 1988, is an Israeli singer-songwriter and actor. Raised in Jerusalem, Amedi comes from a Kurdish-Jewish family. He has a background in various martial arts, including taekwondo and Thai boxing, and was the runner-up champion in Taekwondo in Israel. Amedi's career took off after his audition for the reality show 'Kochav Nolad' in 2010, where he performed his own composition 'Pain of Warriors', inspired by his military service in the IDF combat engineering corps. The song became a hit, reaching number one on various Israeli music charts. Amedi released his first album, 'Tashlich (Throw)', in 2011.
