Irving Raskin Levine (August 26, 1922 – March 27, 2009) was an American journalist and longtime correspondent for NBC News. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Levine graduated from Brown University and served in the Army Signal Corps during World War II. He started his journalism career at the Providence Journal before joining the International News Service and later freelancing for NBC News. Levine became the first American television correspondent to be accredited in the Soviet Union and reported from more than two dozen countries throughout his 45-year career. He authored three bestselling books on life in the USSR. Levine's contributions to journalism left a lasting impact.
