Jack Arute
Jack Arute III (born September 28, 1950) is an American former sportscaster for the NFL and college sports. He is known for his work as an auto racing pit reporter and college football sideline reporter for ESPN and ABC. Arute covered the Izod IndyCar Series and the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on Versus. He began his career as a radio commentator for the Motor Racing Network and later served as Vice President of Charlotte Motor Speedway. Arute is a graduate of the University of Vermont and hails from New Britain, Connecticut. He comes from a family with a prominent construction company and Arute Field, a football stadium in New Britain, is named after his family.
