Jack Forrester
John McIntyre Forrester (19 February 1894 – 4 August 1964) was a Scottish-American professional golfer who played in the early-to-mid 20th century. He achieved his best finish in a major championship with a fourth-place finish in the 1923 U.S. Open. Forrester also won the 1929 New Jersey PGA Championship while serving as head professional at Baltusrol Golf Club. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Forrester grew up in North Berwick and began his golf career as a caddie on the West Links. He later became a postman and a member of Rhodes Golf Club, where he won several tournaments including the Haldane Cup and Maxwell Sh.
