    Jack Parr (March 13, 1936 – January 4, 2015) was an American professional basketball player. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he played college basketball at Kansas State University where he achieved All-America stature. Known for his intensity and inner drive, Parr was a strong and rugged player who excelled in rebounding. His offensive skills included a hook shot and a soft 'face the basket' jumper. Parr's defensive prowess was highlighted in a game against Kansas in 1958 when he made a crucial play, blocking Wilt Chamberlain's lay-in attempt in the final seconds. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Royals in the 10th round of the 1958 NBA draft and played 66 games for the team in 1958–1959, averaging 4.0 points per game.
