Jackson Williams Biography
Jackson Thomas Williams (born May 14, 1986) is an American former professional baseball catcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants in 2014 and 2015. Williams played college baseball at the University of Oklahoma, and also had stints playing for the Yarmouth–Dennis Red Sox and Hyannis Mets in the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the first round of the 2007 MLB Draft and played in their organization until 2013. Williams signed with the Colorado Rockies in 2014 and made his MLB debut on June 22, 2014. He was later claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, but never appeared in a game for them.
