Jacques Torres

Jacques Torres is a French pastry chef and chocolatier based in New York. He is also the Dean of Pastry Arts at the International Culinary Center and regularly conducts pastry demonstrations. Torres gained popularity through his appearances on the show Nailed It!. Born in Algiers and raised in Bandol, France, Torres began his culinary journey at a young age. He completed his apprenticeship at a small pastry shop and went on to work with renowned chef Jacques Maximin at the Hotel Negresco. Torres later won the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier Pâtissier de France competition. In 1988, he moved to the United States and served as the Corporate Pastry Chef for the Ritz Carlton.
