Jake Wood Biography
Jake Dylan Wood (born 12 July 1972) is an English actor known for his role as Max Branning in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. He has also made guest appearances in series such as Only Fools and Horses and Red Dwarf. Wood competed on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing in 2014. In the United States, he is recognized as the voice of the GEICO gecko. Wood co-hosts the boxing podcast Pound for Pound with Spencer Oliver. He attended City of London Academy Highbury Grove and trained at the Anna Scher Drama School in Islington, North London. Wood's career began with his first acting role in the 1984 series The Gentle Touch.
