James Caverly

James 'Joey' Caverly is an American actor who has been deaf since birth. He was born and raised in Royal Oak, Michigan and graduated from Lahser High School in 2007. Caverly went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Gallaudet University in 2011. After graduating, he joined the National Theatre of the Deaf, where he directed and acted in plays for two years. Caverly has also performed with various theater companies, including Huntington Theatre Company, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Studio Theatre, Kitchen Theatre Company, and SpeakEasy Stage Company. In 2018, he appeared in a Broadway production.
