James Hamm
James Hamm is a convicted felon turned academic and actor. In 1974, Hamm was convicted for the drug-related murder of Willard Morley and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. While incarcerated, Hamm earned a summa cum laude degree from Northern Arizona University in applied sociology with an extended major in corrections. In 1989, Hamm's sentence was commuted to 16 years to life by then-governor Rose Mofford, but later rescinded and judicially restored. Hamm later met Donna Leone, a lower court judge, and they married in 1987. Despite his past, Hamm has since pursued a career in acting, appearing in various movies and TV shows.
