James Edward Harden Jr. (born August 26, 1989) is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA. Known for his scoring ability, Harden is widely regarded as one of the greatest shooting guards in NBA history. He played college basketball for the Arizona State Sun Devils, earning recognition as a consensus All-American and Pac-10 Player of the Year in 2009. Harden was drafted third overall in the 2009 NBA draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. While with the Thunder, he was named NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2012 and helped the team reach the NBA Finals. Harden was subsequently traded to the Houston Rockets, where he further established himself as a top-tier player before joining the Brooklyn Nets in 2021.
