James Lafferty Biography
James Martin Lafferty (born July 25, 1985) is an American actor, director, and producer. He rose to fame for his portrayal of Nathan Scott on the popular teen drama series One Tree Hill (2003–2012). Born in Hemet, California, to Angelica and Jeffrey Lafferty, he has a younger brother named Stuart, who is also an actor. Lafferty began his acting career with uncredited extra roles on shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. At the age of 10, he landed his first significant role in a school play. Lafferty attended Hemet High School and later enrolled at California State University, Long Beach. He moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, at 18 to play Nathan Scott on One Tree Hill. Lafferty made his screen debut in the TV film Annabelle's Wish in 1997.
