James Wallington Biography
James ('Jim') Robert Wallington (July 28, 1944 – April 20, 1988) was an American welterweight boxer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He represented the United States at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. Wallington won the bronze medal in the men's light welterweight division (-63.5 kg) after a loss in the semifinals. He was also the gold medalist at the Pan American Games a year earlier. In addition to his boxing career, Wallington served in the US Army. He passed away at the age of 43.
