Jan Uddin Biography
Jan Uddin (born 22 October 1985) is a British actor of Bangladeshi descent. He is known for his lead roles in independent films Cliffs of Freedom (2019) and Lies We Tell (2017). Uddin made history as the first person of Bangladeshi origin to star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and a Netflix Original. Born in Stoke-on-Trent, England, Uddin moved to London at 19 to train as an actor at the Academy Drama School. His early acting credits include appearances on Casualty and the BBC soap opera EastEnders. In 2009, he appeared in the film Boogie Woogie alongside Gillian Anderson and Amanda Seyfried. Uddin's notable role in Shank (2010) showcased his talent in the futuristic setting.
