Jane Brody

Jane Ellen Brody (born May 19, 1941) is an American journalist known for her coverage of science and nutrition. From 1976 to 2022, she wrote a weekly column called 'Personal Health' for The New York Times, which was syndicated nationwide. Brody has authored several books on health and is recognized for her expertise in the field. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 19, 1941, she attended Cornell University's College of Agriculture, where she studied biochemistry. However, she discovered her passion for journalism after writing for her high school newspaper.
