Born in San Francisco, she began acting as a child and attended the Institute of Holy Angels in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Corcoran had numerous Broadway appearances including roles in A Stranger in a Strange Land (1899), All for a Girl (1908), Mother (1910), Drifting (1922), and Little Women (1931). She also performed in touring productions such as Tennessee's Pardner, Mlle Fifi, and The Man of the Hour. Corcoran was known for her versatility and range as an actress, and her contributions to the stage were highly respected.
