Jane Hoffman

Jane S. Hoffman (born July 20, 1964) is an American public policy expert and author. She is known for her work on consumer affairs, the environment, and big tech companies and private data. Hoffman has held various roles in government and civics, including positions at the United Nations, as well as in New York City and state governments. Prior to her career in public policy, she worked as a Salomon Brothers analyst and a show producer for Cable News Network. Hoffman grew up in Llewellyn Park, New Jersey, and graduated with a B.S. in communication from Northwestern University. She also studied labor relations at the London School of Economics.
