Jane Lapotaire

Jane Lapotaire (born 26 December 1944) is an English actress known for her notable contributions to film and television. Born in Ipswich, Suffolk, Lapotaire was raised by her foster mother, Grace Chisnell, who had also fostered Lapotaire's biological mother. Despite her biological mother's attempts to gain custody, Lapotaire chose to remain with Granny Grace. She spent time with her biological mother and stepfather, who worked in various French oil companies in North Africa, three times a year. Lapotaire adopted their family name during this time. With a career spanning decades, Lapotaire has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, showcasing her talent and versatility as an actress.
