Janet Dacal

Janet Dacal is an American actress, singer, and performer in musical theatre. Born in Los Angeles, California, she is best known for her performance in the Broadway musical In the Heights, for which she received the Drama Desk Award. Dacal's parents are from the La Vibora neighborhood of Havana, Cuba. Growing up, Dacal showed a passion for performing, often pretending to sing and dance for her family. She attended a performing arts middle school and high school in Los Angeles before moving to Miami at the age of 17. Dacal has also worked in recording studios for Emilio and Gloria Estefan. She later attended Florida International University. Throughout her career, Dacal has showcased her versatile talents on stage and screen.
