Jared Kirby

Jared Kirby is a classical and historical fencing master, known for his expertise in Western Martial Arts and Combat for Stage & Screen. He earned the prestigious rank of Master of Arms (Maestro d'Armi) through the Martinez Academy of Arms, under the tutelage of Maestro Ramon Martinez. With a passion for teaching, Kirby also instructs Combat for Screen & Stage and is a certified fight director with the Art of Combat. He began his journey in historical fencing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and later studied in Scotland with Maestro Paul Macdonald. In 1999, Kirby relocated to New York to further his studies at the Martinez Academy, where he earned instructor ranks and eventually became Provost of Arms in 2013, and a Master of Arms in 2016.
