Jared Lee

Jared Lee is an American artist and illustrator known for his humorous illustrations. Born on August 19, 1943, in Van Buren, Indiana, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The John Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis. After serving in the military from 1966 to 1968, Lee began his career at Gibson Greetings, designing humorous greeting cards. In 1970, he established Jared Lee Studio and became a freelance illustrator. Throughout his career, Lee has worked with various publishers and companies, including Scholastic Publishing, Simon and Schuster, and McDonald's. He has illustrated nearly 200 children's books and is recognized for his contributions to the field of illustration.
