Jarobi White

Jarobi White (born July 1, 1971) is an American hip hop artist, chef, and a founding member of alternative hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest. White joined the group in the late 1980s as a part-time member and although he did not rhyme on their albums, he contributed to the creation of several tracks, including the idea for their hit single 'I Left My Wallet in El Segundo'. He also appeared in five of the group's music videos. After the release of their debut album, White left to pursue a career in culinary arts. He later returned for the group's final album, 'We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service'. In the early 2010s, White formed the duo evitaN with Dres, previously of Black Sheep, releasing the album 'Speed of Life' in 2012.
