    Jason McCaslin, also known as Cone, is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born on 3 September 1980, McCaslin is best known as the bassist and backing vocalist of the band Sum 41. He started playing bass at the age of 14 and was a member of a grunge garage band called Second Opinion. McCaslin attended Exeter High School in Ajax, Ontario, where he met his fellow Sum 41 band members. He co-created The Operation M.D., a garage punk/garage rock side project, and released two albums. McCaslin's Irish/Swedish descent adds to his diverse background as a talented musician.
