Jay Washington

Jay Washington, born Anthony Jay Washington on November 10, 1981, is a Filipino-American professional basketball player who currently plays for Yokohama Excellence in the Japanese B.League. Hailing from Zambales, Philippines, Washington played college basketball for the Eckerd College Tritons. During his college career, he showcased impressive performances with per-game averages of 20.5 points and 3.9 rebounds in his sophomore season, followed by 21.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in his junior season. Washington was named to the Sunshine State Conference All Tournament Team during his senior season. In 2005, he was selected as the 1st overall draft pick in the PBA draft and subsequently played for various teams, including Talk 'N Text Phone Pals and San Miguel Beermen.
