    Jean-Luc Brassard (born August 24, 1972) is a Canadian freestyle skier who gained recognition for his gold medal win at the 1994 Winter Olympics. He hails from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec. Brassard is credited with popularizing the use of bright knee pads, which allowed judges to better assess the absorption and leg position of mogul skiers during turns. In addition to his Olympic success, he placed 7th in 1992, 4th in 1998, and 21st in 2002. Brassard has been involved in various roles in the Canadian Olympic Committee, serving as the assistant chef de mission in 2014 and the chef de mission in 2016. He was also inducted into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 2012.
