Jeb Bush Biography
John Ellis "Jeb" Bush is an American politician and businessman. He served as the 43rd governor of Florida from 1999 to 2007 and was an unsuccessful candidate for president in the 2016 Republican primaries. Born on February 11, 1953, in Houston, Texas, Jeb Bush is the second son of former President George H. W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush, and the younger brother of former President George W. Bush. He graduated from Phillips Academy and the University of Texas at Austin. After moving to Florida in 1980, Bush pursued a career in real estate development and served as Florida's Secretary of Commerce from 1986 to 1988. In 1994, he made his first run for governor, narrowly losing the election.
