Jeff Maurer

Jeff Maurer (born July 9, 1947) is an American fund manager and author. He is best known as the founder and chairman of Evercore Wealth Management and Evercore Trust Company. Maurer also served as the CEO of U.S. Trust Corporation and authored the book 'Rich in America: Secrets to Creating and Preserving Wealth'. He holds a BA from Alfred University, an MBA from New York University, and a JD from St. John's University School of Law. Maurer began his career at U.S. Trust in 1970 and held various positions before becoming CEO and Chairman of the Board. He later joined Neuberger Berman and served as Chairman and CEO of Neuberger Berman Trust Company. In 2008, Maurer established Evercore Wealth Management and in 2009, Evercore Trust Company, N.A.
