Jeffrey Kim Schroeder, born on February 4, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, is an American musician. He is renowned as the guitarist for the alternative rock band, the Smashing Pumpkins, joining the band in 2006. Schroeder has been a part of the band for five studio albums, making him the second longest-serving member after Billy Corgan. He initially replaced co-founder James Iha and made his live debut with the band in 2007 during their comeback tour. Schroeder transitioned from a touring guitarist to a full member of the band, playing a crucial role in albums like Oceania (2012) and Monuments to an Elegy (2014). Despite Iha's return in 2018, Schroeder continues to be a part of the band, contributing to their unique three-guitar lineup. Schroeder's guitar skills were honed under the guidance of David Koval (Dakoda Moto).
