Jeff Shannon Biography
Jeff Shannon (July 15, 1961 – December 20, 2013) was an American film critic known for his work with the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and The Seattle Times. He studied film history, theory, and criticism at Wright State University. Shannon was the assistant editor of Microsoft Cinemania CD-ROM and website movie encyclopedia, as well as the original DVD section editor at Amazon.com. He also contributed video-on-demand reviews for Roger Ebert's website. In 1979, Shannon suffered a C-5/6 quadriplegia after an accident on Maui. He served on the Washington State Governor's Committee on Disability Issues and Employment and wrote a column for FacingDisability.com.
