Jeff Stelling

Jeff Stelling (born March 18, 1955) is an English television presenter known for his work on sports shows. He presented Gillette Soccer Saturday for Sky Sports from 1994 until 2023 and hosted coverage of the Champions League from 2011 to 2015. Stelling also presented the Channel 4 quiz show Countdown from 2009 to 2011 and ITV game show Alphabetical from 2016 to 2017. Born and raised in Hartlepool, Stelling attended Rift House Primary School and West Hartlepool Grammar School. He started his career as a journalist at the Hartlepool Mail before transitioning into broadcasting, working as a reporter on Middlesbrough F.C. on Radio Tees in the late 1970s and as a sports presenter on London's LBC Radio Sportswatch programme in the early 1980s.
