Jennifer Holloway

Jennifer Holloway is an American operatic mezzo-soprano and soprano known for her international career performing at leading opera houses and festivals. She started as a mezzo-soprano and later transitioned to soprano roles. Holloway was born in Ohio and studied voice at the University of Georgia and the Manhattan School of Music. In 2005, she won first prize at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in the Georgia region, and in 2006, she won the McCammon Competition at Fort Worth Opera. Holloway gained international recognition when she appeared at the Santa Fe Opera in 2006 alongside Joyce DiDonato. She made her Metropolitan Opera debut in the 2010/11 season and subsequently returned in the 2012/13 season. Holloway has also performed at the Israeli Opera as Adalgisa in Bellini's Norma.
