Jenny Lorenzo

Jenny Lorenzo is a Cuban-American actress, comedian, writer, producer, and content creator. She gained recognition for her YouTube sketches that are inspired by her Cuban heritage. In addition to her YouTube channel, Lorenzo was one of the co-founders of BuzzFeed's Pero Like, a popular Latinx-focused digital media brand. She appeared in small roles for the mini-webseries 'Gente-fied', which was later turned into a Netflix original series in 2020. However, Lorenzo and another staff member were terminated by BuzzFeed Motion Pictures for violating their contract by working with other companies without prior permission. Her termination sparked conversations on the need for BuzzFeed staff to unionize and led to the trend of 'Why I Left BuzzFeed' videos on YouTube.
