Jeremy Jack Thomas, CBE, is a British film producer and the founder and chairman of Recorded Picture Company. Born on July 26, 1949, in London, England, Thomas comes from a family with a strong filmmaking background. His father, Ralph Philip Thomas, and uncle, Gerald Thomas, were both directors. Thomas began his career in cinema immediately after leaving school, working in various positions and eventually becoming a film editor for director Ken Loach. He gained recognition for producing Bernardo Bertolucci's The Last Emperor, which won the 1988 Academy Award for Best Picture. Thomas has also received a European Film Award for Outstanding European Achievement in World Cinema. His contributions to the industry have solidified his position as a respected figure in film production.
