Jermaine Hopkins Biography
Jermaine R. "Huggy" Hopkins (born August 23, 1973) is an American television and film actor. He is best known for his roles as Dupree on The WB sitcom The Wayans Bros. and as Thomas Sams in the 1989 film Lean on Me. Hopkins also appeared in the 1992 crime drama thriller Juice as Eric "Steel" Thurman, and in the 1996 film Phat Beach as Benny King. He played Kilo in the 1997 comedy film Def Jam's How to Be a Player. Hopkins started his acting career as a teenager, and got his big break in Lean on Me opposite Morgan Freeman. He continued to work on various projects, including the HBO film Strapped directed by Forest Whitaker.
