Jerome Willis Biography
Jerome Barry Willis (23 October 1928 – 11 January 2014) was a British stage and screen actor known for his extensive screen credits. He had a leading role as Matthew Peele in the ITV drama series The Sandbaggers, and appeared in popular shows like Z-Cars, Within These Walls, and Doctor Who. Willis also played Praetorian Guard commander Macro in the ITV Roman series The Caesars, and Captain Podley in the science fiction police drama Space Precinct. In addition to his television work, Willis appeared in films such as Siege of the Saxons, Khartoum, and Lifeforce. He also performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Pericles at the Roundhouse in London in 2002.
