    Jerry Mitchell Biography
    Jerry Mitchell is an American theatre director and choreographer. Born in Paw Paw, Michigan, he later pursued his acting, dancing, and directing career in theatre in St. Louis. While he did not graduate from Webster University's Fine Arts college, he received an honorary degree from the university in 2005. Mitchell began his Broadway career as a dancer in productions such as The Will Rogers Follies and revivals of Brigadoon and On Your Toes. He made his choreographer debut with the musical Jekyll & Hyde in 1990, followed by You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and The Full Monty. Mitchell is also known for creating and directing the annual Broadway Bares benefit. He has also choreographed for films like Camp and In & Out.
