Jessica Kirson (born November 14, 1969) is an American stand-up comedian, actress, and producer. Known for her regular performances at comedy venues in New York City, such as Gotham Comedy Club, Laugh Factory, Caroline's, and the Improv, Kirson has established herself as a prominent figure in the comedy scene. Raised in South Orange, New Jersey, she comes from Austrian and Polish-Jewish descent. Kirson's mother, a therapist, treated clients in their childhood home, which greatly influenced her comedic style. Graduating from Columbia High School in 1987, Kirson always had a knack for making people laugh. She is the stepsister of actor Zach Braff and writer Joshua Braff. Initially intending to pursue a career in therapy, Kirson holds a degree in family studies from the University of Maryland and a Masters of Social Work from New York University.
