    Jim Ballard Biography
    Jim Ballard, born on April 16, 1972, is a former American football quarterback. He started his college football career at Wilmington College but transferred to Mount Union College after his freshman year. At Mount Union, Ballard achieved great success, leading the Purple Raiders to their first ever Division III National Championship in 1993. He was a two-time First-team All-American Team member in 1992 and 1993, and an Honorable Mention All-American in 1991. Ballard set numerous records during his college career, breaking 17 Division III records, throwing for over 12,000 yards, and over 150 touchdowns. He received the Mike Gregory Award twice and was a three-time All-Conference selection. Ballard was also the recipient of the Melberger Award and the Gagliardi Trophy as Division III's Player of the Year. He still holds several Mount Union passing records.
