Jim Hazelton
James David Hazelton (20 June 1931 – 10 June 2014) was an Australian aviator and co-founder of Hazelton Airlines, which later became Regional Express Airlines. He was born on June 20, 1931, and began his aviation career at the Orange Aero Club. Hazelton became the first Australian to fly a single-engine aircraft solo across the Pacific in 1964, completing the journey over 200 times. After co-founding Hazelton Airlines with his brother Max, he left the airline to establish his own flight training school, Navair, at Bankstown. Hazelton's contributions to the aviation industry and his notable achievements in transpacific flights have left a lasting impact.
