Jim Hudson Biography
James Clark Hudson (March 31, 1943 – June 25, 2013) was a professional American football player who played as a defensive back. Born in Steubenville, Ohio, Hudson grew up in La Feria, TX. He excelled in basketball, track, and football in high school, winning the 2A State Championship in discus in 1961. Hudson played college football at the University of Texas, where he played multiple positions including wide receiver, running back, defensive back, and quarterback. He joined the New York Jets in 1965 and played for the team until 1970, competing in both the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). Hudson started in Super Bowl III, making a key interception before the end of the first half.
