Jimmy Gallagher
James J. Gallagher (June 7, 1901 – October 7, 1971) was a Scottish American soccer right wing midfielder. He spent eleven seasons in the American Soccer League and was a member of the U.S. soccer teams at the 1930 and 1934 FIFA World Cups. Gallagher was born in Scotland and moved to New York City with his mother when he was twelve. He began his professional career at Tebo Yacht Basin F.C. in the New York State League. In 1921, he joined J&P Coats, a team in the newly formed American Soccer League. Gallagher and his teammates won the league title in 1922-1923. He was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1986.
